Having known Ian for a couple of years now through fishing I have to say I have learnt so much from him. Since I have met Ian he has taught me a lot about presentation i.e. which rigs can be effective on certain waters and not so effective on others, baits, knots, watercraft, fish care, spodding, using a marker rod, and much more.
Through his teaching my catch rate has improved a lot and I am enjoying my fishing so much more as a direct result of his coaching. Before I would simply cast bait out and wait often feeling frustrated at not catching more often than not. The great thing about Ian is that he always has time and patience for other anglers and is always willing to help in anyway he can, which has been greatly appreciated by myself and my lad.
